Willoughby Hotel holds its first Australian Brewery Beer Dinner hosted by Brewers, Dan and Dave, Head Chef, Carlos and Venue Manager, Lisa.
The night was a great success with a range of locals of all ages taking interest in the idea of craft beer incorporated in a fine dining styled menu, prepared by Willoughby Hotel’s own Head Chef, Carlos. Dan and Dave from the Brewery team hosted the dinner, alongside Chef Carlos providing the innovative menu and Lisa Barlett, Willoughby Hotel Venue Menu, offering a welcoming space for members.
The meal selection for the evening included a New World Pilsner Cerviche, Fresh Yamba Prawns with Fresh Press Cider, Slow Braised Beef Short Rib with an IPA Stout Jus and a Vanilla poached pear with beer honey. Yum!
Lisa commented, “We began the night with locals who drank their regular products and did not stray much further all sharing feedback that “We love Australian”. They have returned to the hotel since all drinking Australian Brewery beers and have been strong advocates for the products.”
Needless to say, the meal was a hit with all who attended and a wonderful team effort. Congratulations to both the Brewery and Willoughby teams on such a successful event! The members can’t wait for the next one.
