Invited by the Mayor of Willoughby, Venue Manager of Willoughby Hotel, Lisa Bartlett recently competed in the ‘Stars of the North’ dancing event.
The Stars of the North dancing event helps raise vital funds for the Cancer Council. Lisa dedicated herself to countless professional dance lessons over the six weeks before the gala learning the difficult Charleston for the event, as well as fundraising along the way.
All Lisa’s hard work paid off with a stellar performance in front of 350 people at Norths League Club and her being awarded the Judges Choice award for her efforts! On top of this wonderful achievement, she also smashed her original fundraising goal of $5,000 dollars, to raise a total of $7,600!
This wonderful community event also managed to raise nearly $100,000 dollars in one evening. A huge congratulations to Lisa for challenging herself for such a wonderful cause in her community. We are very lucky to have such a star (in more ways than one) as part of our Redcape Family.
