In September, Mt Annan Hotel held its first Footy Colours Family Fun Day for the local community to help support the Fight Cancer Foundation and provide education programs for kids undergoing cancer treatment.
The Fun Day was a hit with the local Mt Annan community, featuring a jumping castle, sweet treats for the kids, an NRL Grand Final ticket giveaway and meat raffles!
Footy Colours Day is a part of a national fundraising campaign with all monies raised going directly towards the initiative, with customers encouraged to wear their favourite sport’s colours and join in on the festivities. Venue Manager, Jasmine Francis-Mead is proud that the event was able to gather the local community, not only help to raise money, but also to offer support and care for many locals who have been personally touched or know someone that has been touched by cancer.
The venue’s dedication to helping the community is something they’ve become very proud of and strive to do at every opportunity. The team consistently supports Lifeline Macarthur, are proud sponsors of local sports teams and in August helped to raise $1,200 for the Sunflower Cottage in conjunction with their local social Golf Club.
The team at Mt Annan is hopeful that the day can become an annual success and continue to support the Fight Cancer Foundation and their local community members. An example of caring for their local community through important initiatives to help make a difference.
