We’re proud to announce the opening of The Shack, our new bar concept at Beach Hotel Byron Bay. Located just steps from Byron’s iconic Main Beach, The Shack is set to become a standout destination, offering a stylish yet relaxed space that embodies the essence of coastal living.
This launch has sparked fresh energy and momentum within the Beachy team, who are embracing the opportunity to deliver something truly fresh and new at the pub. From the kitchen to the bar, our people are ready to bring The Shack’s vision to life, showcasing their passion for extraordinary hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
Drinks play a starring role at The Shack with the beverage list developed under the guidance of General Manager of Bars, Paul Mant. Featuring classic cocktails like Spicy Margaritas and Piña Coladas through to signature creations like the Naked ’n Famous, as well as a range of beers and sophisticated non-alcoholic options, The Shack has something to suit every taste and occasion.
The menu, developed by our General Manager of Food, Ben Turner, is designed to complement the beverage offering. Inspired by coastal destinations worldwide, Ben’s goal was to craft dishes that not only excite the palate but also bring people together. Think lobster tacos with mango hot sauce, salmon crudo with stone fruit, and octopus skewers with gochujang glaze – each share-style plate is designed to spark conversation and connection among guests.
As Ben puts it: “The Shack is about more than food and drinks—it’s about connection, creativity, and capturing the best of what Byron Bay has to offer.”
