When we say one of our top priorities is the betterment of the communities we operate and thrive in, we mean it.
If it weren’t for the supportive, neighbourhood-proud, friendly locals in each of our 25 communities, we wouldn’t be the successful hospitality business we are today.
As just one of the many positive change-for-good initiatives we support, our very own fearless leader (well, almost fearless – if you don’t count his fear of snakes!), Dan Brady, recently took on the CEO Dare to Cure Challenge. The Dare to Cure initiative is run by the Children’s Cancer Institute, the only independent medical research institute in Australia completely dedicated to putting an end to childhood cancer.
With a goal of raising $40,000, Dan took part in two challenges on Friday 7 September 2018. First, he valiantly plunged into the Athlete’s Ice Bath Challenge, then took on the ultimate test of bravery – jumping into a bath of snakes! Facing his biggest fear, all in the name of supporting a charity close to his heart (and our hearts), reflects Redcape Hotel Group’s unwavering focus on putting people first. Even ahead of personal phobias.
And the result? Well due to Dan’s brave efforts, and the generous support of our staff and customers, Redcape Hotel Group were proud to make a donation of $59,696 to the Children’s Cancer Institute.
This is just one of the ways Redcape Hotel Group gets involved in life-changing community initiatives. As one of Australia’s leading hospitality groups, our passionate and dedicated workforce of 700+ employees are all encouraged to get involved in our positive change-for-good initiatives that support our local communities. As a business we play an active role in ensuring our impact on the lives of our people (staff and customers) and our communities, is one which is positive. It’s this focus on people and communities that sets us apart from other hospitality groups, and we believe has helped make us the successful business we are today (and will continue to be).
