After another successful holiday period, Redcape venues illustrated their best customer experiences across a number of community initiatives.
Figtree Finds the Golden Egg
Find the Golden Egg, a team initiative encouraging families to visit the south coast venue and try their luck searching for the ultimate golden egg! With over 30 children participating in the hunt, it was a competitive race to the top with the winner unwrapping a chocolate-filled hamper including a giant Crème Egg!
Starting the day off with an all-day BBQ serving all the traditional favourites, the crowd started to roll in paying tribute to the ANZACs with several games of two-up. Hosted in the front terrace, the team sectioned off an area for the crowd to watch the toss of the coins, serviced by a converted can bar offering the Trans-Tasma XPA and Australian Brewery favourites.
A successful community day all round for the team at Figtree Hotel.
ANZAC Day at Leumeah
With their most celebrated ANZAC Day yet, Leumeah Hotel saw members rush in after the local community morning Dawn Service. Enjoying two-up in the main bar area, run by the local AFL Club in the early afternoon, followed by the ANZAC matches – both NRL and AFL were shown live in the venue. Live music created an energetic atmosphere, with members and visitors sticking around long after the ANZAC matches to enjoy the tunes of the local soloist.
Regular patrons tried out the Australian Brewery Trans-Tasma XPA, with $1 from every litre going towards the ANZAC Legacy – an initiative from the Brewery Team! The top choice on the day, however, was the speciality Aussie cocktails, accounting for 46% of all cocktail sales on the day – a delicious choice between an iconic Tim Tam Cocktail or a sweet Lamington Cocktail.
Fun Days & Two-up at Central
Celebrating the Easter long weekend with an Easter Sunday Funday, the team at Central Hotel Shellharbour turned the functions room into a Kids Easter playland! Complete with an Easter egg hunt, face painting, a magician, disco and even managed to get a jumping castle! With a line up of over 50 kids enjoying the fun day, whilst the parents indulged in a selection of Seafood platters and yummy Easter specials in the bistro.
With a traditionally jam-packed ANZAC Day for the venue, the team did not disappoint the local community. With a complimentary BBQ breakfast served first thing for the locals attending the morning services, saw over 50 bacon and egg rolls and sausage sandwiches passed out. The Shellharbour Sharks hosted two-up for the day from 11am with over 300 people enjoying the celebrated game. With a variety of visitors for the day, the bars had constant moving queues and the bistro team were sending schnittys out faster than they could say would you like a $5 topper with that.

Easter Thursday at Australian Hotel & Brewery
Easter Thursday at The Australian Hotel & Brewery, an iconic event for the venue, saw over 1,200 people attend the Coolroom Club night. Featuring DJs including Jaysounds, Krude, Non Applicable, Paris Lawrence and other crowd favourites, the night also celebrated those dressed up in Easter attire! With compliments to the AHB team, who were well prepared for the event in advance, smashing venue records and receiving raving reviews from patrons, it was a huge Easter success! We can’t wait for what the next event brings the local Hils community.
Mount Annan’s Community Spirit
Who doesn’t love a good Easter egg guessing comp; with $1 from every guess going towards Lifeline Macarthur, Mt Annan Hotel raised $90 towards the local cause with a local Mt Annan resident taking home the jar! Continuing the giveaways, the team also sent one lucky family to the Sydney Royal Easter Show with a Coca-Cola initiative and ran a Hop to the Top Shelf promotion for Publinc members.
Serving a complimentary BBQ breakfast on ANZAC morning for the local Camden residents after their morning service, was well received, along with a highly successful two-up game during the afternoon. Patrons were happy to enjoy the live ANZAC matches, listen to the live entertainment adding to the atmosphere for the day. VM, Jasmyn says the thoughtfulness, attentiveness and community spirit was well alive at the venue over the holiday period.
Cars4Kids Community Success at The Grove
For the second year in a row, The Grove hosted the Cars4Kids Day in collaboration with the Mackay and District Holden and GM Club, supporting the local PCYC with over 2,500 people attending on the day. The Cars4Kids featured the traditional and loved classics, top fuel drag racers, jet bikes, and an authentic American military Humvee.
Showcasing an outdoor Australian Brewery beer garden with the full range of Australian Brewery beers available for guests plus a variety of delicious food stalls and excited an excited team running the event, the venue team are eager to make this an annual event in their carpark in continued efforts to support the local PCYC.
Australian Brewery takes on Spartan
Australian Brewery was recently the exclusive beer partner of the Spartan Race in Picton, Sydney. An obstacle course event filled with beginners to the committed athletes, with over 3,500 racegoers. The Brewery Team were there to treat all to a fresh Australian Brewery Beer after the 21km obstacle course to rehydrate.
The Brewery team, along with Kristy and Tori from Leumeah Hotel provided a whopping 150 cases of AB beers towards the event showcasing the delicious flavours of the unique hops the Australian Brewery beers have to offer. A great initiative to build strong connections with the Spartan events across the country.
