Sunil Patel

General Manager Finance & Commercial

Sunil joined Redcape in 2013. As General Manager Finance & Commercial, Sunil is responsible for providing financial leadership to the business and managing all aspects of finance related activities.

Sunil has a strong background in financial management and controllership gained within ASX listed entities. Prior to joining Redcape Sunil served as General Manager Finance for ASX listed REIT, Thakral Holdings Group where he was responsible for all facets of the organisation’s financial strategy, planning, management and accounting. Before Thakral, Sunil held multiple senior accounting roles at Australand Property Group, overseeing accounting and group reporting as well as financial planning.

Sunil’s professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Business in Accounting, membership of CPA Australia and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Joel Cronan

General Manager Operations

Joel Cronan comes from a family of publicans and began his career in hospitality at the age of 18.

After managing a diverse portfolio of high compliance and high volume hotels, Joel joined National Leisure and Gaming in 2008. Joel quickly equipped himself with a thorough understanding of the business as both a Licensee and then latterly as Area Manager where he oversaw some of Redcape’s flagship venues.

With more than 14 years’ experience in the industry, Joel has worked and managed a diverse range of hotels from large suburban pubs to Food and Beverage hotels and large entertainment venues.

Joel has an Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management.

Dr Brett Wright

General Manager, Human Resources

Dr Brett Wright joined Redcape in February 2015 where he is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources. He is a highly experienced Human Resources executive who has an extensive background in human resource management derived from working in a range of line management, academic and consulting roles.

Brett was most recently executive director of people at Ashurst and prior to this Challenger Financial Services and St George Bank, where he was the group executive human resources for over 8 years.

Brett has qualifications in engineering, an MBA from Sydney University and a PhD in Organisational Behaviour from the University of Western Australia. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
